Deconstructed Recount

For the past few days, we had to write descriptively about one thing we did in the two-week holidays, and our classmates had to guess what we wrote about.

Reflection:

I found it easy to ... Find the pictures.

I found it hard to...Write the sentences.

Next time I could... Make the subject harder for a buddy to guess.

  1. Kia ora Dylan I like how you wrote descriptively, using interesting adjectives about your holiday using the Deconstructed recount which is all about Show don't tell.

  2. Hello Dylan, my name is Alexander and I am a year 6 student from Paihia School. I really like your deconstructed recount about what you did in the holidays because you used so many interesting words to describe what you saw, what you heard, tasted, smelt and felt. I really enjoyed reading this because you had so many adjectives and you had lots of pictures and not much writing. I remember in my old class we did something similar like this.

    Did you enjoy the holidays?

  3. Hi Dylan, my name is Mark at Paihia School. I really like your “Deconstructed Recount” because you used so many detailed words to describe what you did, what you taste, heard, smell and felt. I remember last time in old class we did something similar to this.

Where did you get the pictures from?
